For over 20 years, Paul Zazarine restored and wrote about musclecars. His books include How To Restore Your Musclecar, GTO Buyer"s Guide, and 1964-1967 GTO History and GTO Restoration Guide, which won a Moto Award for the Best Automotive Technical Book of 1985. From 1985 to 1988, he edited Musclecar Review magazine until being tapped to relaunch and edit Corvette Fever magazine. He also launched Mopar Muscle magazine in 1988.

Zazarine was also involved in a number of automotive hobby activities, including five years as a member of the board of directors of the National Corvette Museum.
