Alan Paradise

Over the past 15 years, Alan Paradise has established himself as a leading automotive journalist. In 1987, he pioneered a new enthusiast's niche by developing a publication to speak to a new generation of performance enthusiasts. He defined this segment as "Sport Compact Cars". This vision of the automotive future gave way to the highly successful magazine, which bears that name. Paradise is credited with creating and developing Sport Compact Car magazine; serving as its editor for the title's first four years. He has also served on the staffs of numerous other niche-market publications, including Truckin', MiniTruckin', EuroSportCar, and Street Rodder. Currently, he is the editor of Miata Magazine, PowerLine, Motor Trend Insider, British Motoring, SpinOff and Celebrity Garages. He is a longtime performance enthusiast, owning and building a wide range of cars from classics, muscle cars, street rods, sports cars to import performance cars.
