Paul van Valkenburgh

Since 1969, Paul van Valkenburgh has published nearly a million words in over 250 technical and scientific articles in publications such as SAE and Encyclopedia Britannica. van Valkenburgh received an Interdisciplinary degree in engineering, and a Master"s degree in human behavior. His Master"s thesis was on "A Systematic Analysis of the Behavioral and Social Sciences."

Paul van Valkenburgh is the acclaimed author of Chevrolet – Racing . . .? Fourteen Years of Raucous Silence and Race Car Engineering and Mechanics. Experienced as a draftsman, designer, engineer, aerodynamicist, race driver, programmer, author, photographer, and illustrator, Paul consults with various small vehicle manufacturers, vehicle importers, and racing teams. In addition, he has consulted on projects for the California Highway Patrol, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. bike and bobsled teams and General Motors.

In his semi-retirement, Paul is doing independent literature research and brainstorming in neurological disorders such as tinnitus, and possible common denominators with others, such as dyslexia, autism, color blindness, obsessive-compulsive disorder while writing a regular column in Racecar Engineering Magazine and occasional technical pieces for various automotive enthusiast magazines including Road & Track, Automobile Quarterly, Corvette Fever and Drag Racing Illustrated.
