Carl Lopez

Carl Lopez has been associated with The Skip Barber Racing School since 1977, and over the past twenty years has played a wide variety of roles for the organization, among them Competitor, Teacher, Test Driver, Operations Manager, Data Collection Guru, Instructor Coordinator, and presently Director of Program Planning.

He was directly involved in the infancy stages of racecar data collection and its application to coaching race driving, as opposed to its more common use as a racecar tuning device. He wrote and co-directed the 90-minute race-driving training video, "Going Faster", part of the Racing School"s constant effort to refine and clarify its curriculum.

Carl lives in Canaan, Connecticut, with his wife Rosemarie and son Max.
